The Fontinettes Boat Lift Interpretation Centre welcomes families, schools, groups and associations – and it can also become YOUR SPACE.

The Red Room
Your welcome space:
At the heart of the Boat Lift Interpretation Centre, yet separate from the main exhibition areas and with 100% independent access, the Red Room is the ideal space for team sessions as well as private events.
With a capacity of 25 people for table setups, 50 for conferences, or up to 80 for receptions, this room can be booked year-round at the time of your choosing (subject to availability).
The room includes a display screen with HDMI connection, a flipchart, Wi-Fi access, and all necessary furniture. Restrooms are located nearby.
€100 for half-day, €180 for full day
A Coffee Welcome
Start your day the right way:
To welcome your team in the best possible conditions, we offer a coffee reception with mini-pastries, coffee, tea, and fruit juice.

A Visit to the Interpretation Centre
Need a break during your workday? Take the opportunity to enjoy the setting of the Fontinettes Boat Lift and discover our interpretation centre dedicated to it.
2 visit options, depending on your available time and interests:
An audio-guided tour of the interpretation centre, taking you back to 1967, the final day of operation for this one-of-a-kind boat lift in France.
€4.50 per person
In addition to the audio-guided tour of the interpretation centre, a guided tour of the surroundings of the Fontinettes Boat Lift to learn more about the human developments that have enabled — and still enable — navigation on the Neuffossé canal, which links the Aa river to the Lys river.
€8 per person, including audio guide.
